Glory strikes new rights deals

Rights for the Glory Sports International kickboxing league have been awarded to pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport, South Korean commercial broadcaster KBS, pan-African pay-television operator StarTimes and pay-television broadcaster Digi Sport in Hungary and Romania.

The deals were brokered on behalf of the league by the Total Sports Asia agency.

Broadcasters will show live coverage of various league properties, including the Glory, Glory SuperFight Series and Glory Rewind programmes.

The renewal with Eurosport covers 54 countries and will feature snippets of league coverage in the broadcaster’s ‘Fight Club’ martial arts magazine programme as well as live coverage of all Glory events in 2015.

The deal with StarTimes will cover 23 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, with the StarTimes Sport 2 channel set to show the coverage through to the end of 2015.

KBS will exploit the rights on its subsidiary, sports broadcaster KBS N.
