Football: Middle-East broadcaster Al Jazeera Sport acquired the rights for European club competitions the Champions League and the Uefa Cup in three-year deals worth a combined $200m (£102m/ €136m). The deals, covering the three-year period from 2009-10 to 2011-12, were agreed by the Team Marketing agency on behalf of Uefa (page 1).
