ATN scores Hockey World League rights in Canada

Canadian broadcast group Asian Television Network has acquired exclusive rights in the country for the 2015 men’s and women’s Hockey World League Finals.

All games of the International Hockey Federation’s (FIH) ongoing men’s tournament in Raipur, India and the women’s event, which takes place in Rosario, Argentina from December 5-13 will be broadcast live on four ATN channels – CBN, ATN Cricket Plus, ATN Punjabi Plus and ATN Bangla.

The national team tournaments are each competed for by eight countries. The Netherlands is the current holder of both the men’s and women’s titles. The men’s tournament concludes on December 6. Canada has qualified for the men’s event, where it was drawn against Australia, Belgium and Great Britain in Group A.
