Jamie Aitchison, the commissioning editor for sport at UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4, has been appointed to the newly-created role of commercial and development director at London-based broadcast media agency Aurora Media Worldwide.
Aitchison, who oversaw Channel 4’s acclaimed coverage of the 2012 Paralympic Games, will work alongside Aurora Media managing director Lawrence Duffy from the start of 2015.
He was previously a producer at the sports division of commercial broadcaster ITV and an executive producer at sports production company Sunset and Vine.
Aurora Media, which was established two years ago, specialises in the creation and production of live sports events and factual content, working with organisations in motorsport, horseracing and tennis.
