BBC picks up rights to European netball tournament

UK public-service broadcaster the BBC has acquired rights to the Netball Europe Open Championships, which get underway in the Welsh capital of Cardiff tomorrow (Thursday).

The BBC will show live coverage and highlights of the event, which features home nations England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as invitational side Fiji.

Coverage will be available via connected TVs, online platforms and via the BBC Sport app.

The tournament, which is an official International Netball Federation event, will take place at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff and runs until Sunday. England is the defending champion.
