Brazil Athletics Confederation launches dedicated OTT channel

The Brazilian Athletics Confederation (CBAt) has signed a deal with compatriot OTT service TV NSports to broadcast all its events through a dedicated channel on the platform.

The ‘Athletic Channel’s first live event will be the Brazil Athletics Box Trophy, Latin America’s biggest club competition, which runs from August 29-September 1.

The CBAt has said that it will use the broadcast partnership to get closer to its audience and gain data on its viewers.

“This will enable us to create new media products, branded content and placement for the market,” Joao Gabriel Leite, CBAt’s marketing and project manager, said.

TV NSports was established in January 2018 and currently has 400,000 registered users.
