Brazilian basketball league embarks on live streaming initiative

The Brazilian National Basketball League (LNB) will provide free live streaming of three games next week as part of an initiative to increase exposure for the sport in the country.

São José/Unimed v Palmeiras/Meltex, Flamengo v Unitri/Magazine Luiza and Winner/Kabum/Limeira v UniCEUB/BRB/Brasília will be broadcast on March 25, March 27 and March 29, respectively, via the league’s official website – LNB.com.br.

The initiative is part of a partnership between the LNB and Eventos Ao Vivo, a Rio de Janeiro-based company that specialises in live broadcasts of sports games, events and conferences.

The LNB said that it intends to increase the number of games provided with live streaming from the 2014-15 season onwards.
