Brazilian basketball league signs SporTV deal, renews with ESPN

SporTV, the pay-television broadcaster owned by Brazilian media group Globo, has acquired rights to the top-tier Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), while Disney-owned sports broadcaster ESPN has also renewed its rights to the competition.

SporTV’s two-year deal with the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB), the competition’s organising body, includes rights to 44 games from the 2022-23 season. The agreement covers first- and second-round games, play-offs, the Copa Super 8 and the All-Star Game.
