British Eurosport renews MotoGP rights

British Eurosport, the UK arm of pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport, renewed its rights deal for motor cycling’s MotoGP World championship for two years, from 2012 to 2013.

The broadcaster will show live coverage of qualifying and practice sessions from the championship every race weekend. Race coverage will be broadcast on a same-day delayed basis. Public-service broadcaster the BBC has exclusive UK rights for live race coverage in a four-year deal, from 2010 to 2013.

As part of the new deal, Eurosport will show live coverage of races from the Moto2 and Moto3 competitions, the first- and second-tier feeder series for the MotoGP World Championship.
