Bundesliga International, the new sales and marketing unit of the German Football League (DFL), has appointed Robert Klein as its chief commercial officer.
Klein most recently served as head of global rights for the Red Bull Media House production company.
At Red Bull, Klein was responsible for the acquisition and sales of global sports and cultural properties, as well as the global commercial distribution of Red Bull-owned sports properties.
Previously, Klein was executive director at US-based digital media and content provider International Sports Multimedia.
Klein also spent six years with Uefa, European football’s governing body, as part of the incumbent team that built up the Uefa New Media division.
Bundesliga International has been formed to replace the DFL’s existing DFL Sports Enterprises entity. The new unit is set to become officially established on July 1.
