Canal Plus confirms Davis Cup final coverage

French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus has opted to broadcast the final of the Davis Cup national team tennis tournament this weekend.

According to French daily newspaper L'Équipe, Canal Plus was not planning to show the final of the competition between Belgium and Great Britain.

However, it will now broadcast the contest on its Canal Plus Décalé channel, with the live coverage running for all three days, from this Friday to Sunday.

Canal Plus has rights for the Davis Cup in a four-year sublicensing deal with public-service broadcaster France Télévisions, from 2012 to 2015.
