French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus has extended its rights deal for the Sevens Series, the national team competition organised by rugby union’s governing body World Rugby.
The contract is for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons of the Sevens Series, and includes both the men’s and women’s competitions.
Canal Plus has secured the rights following a tender process launched by the French Rugby Federation (FFR).
The 2017-18 season commences with an event in Dubai from November 30 to December 2.
