Pay-television operator Canal Plus International has launched a new sports channel in Africa.
A+ Sport is an offshoot from A+, the entertainment channel brand that Canal Plus launched in the African market in July 2014.
Canal Plus said A+ Sport’s initial content offering will include the Jeux de la Francophonie multi-sport event, African club football competition the Confederation Cup and European club basketball tournament the Basketball Champions League.
A+ Sport will be offered exclusively through the ‘Bouquets Canal+’ packages and as part of the EasyTV DTT offer in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire in Congo, and in Kinshasa and Lubumbashi in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
