Pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus appears to have renewed its broadcast deal in France for the NHL North American ice hockey league.
The broadcaster’s television schedule lists NHL coverage on October 3, with the new 2019-20 season having begun the previous day.
Canal Plus’ prior exclusive rights deal with the NHL ran for three seasons from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
SportBusiness Media approached Canal Plus on Thursday for confirmation of the renewal but received no response at time of writing.
Canal Plus has broadcast the NHL since 1997.
