French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus has renewed a rights deal for the NHL North American ice hockey league.
The exclusive agreement will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
Canal Plus has broadcast the league since 1997 and the new season will begin on October 12.
Canal Plus will also show coverage of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, which will take place in Toronto from September 17 to October 1, and the 2017 Ice Hockey World Championships in France and Germany from May 5-21.
