Challenge to broadcast TNA’s Slammiversary

The Total Nonstop Action Wrestling organisation has struck a deal for this year’s edition of its annual Slammiversary event to be broadcast live on Challenge, a UK digital-terrestrial television channel owned by pay-television broadcaster Sky.

The event, which will take place on June 29, will be the first TNA event to be broadcast live in the UK.

Slammiversary will also become the first American wrestling pay-per-view event to be broadcast live on free-to-air television in the UK in almost 15 years.

The event will be shown live at 01.00am local time, with a repeat showing scheduled for 22.00pm on July 1.

Challenge already has rights in the UK for delayed coverage of TNA pay-per-view events. The channel is also the UK rights-holder for TNA’s Impact Wrestling and TNA Explosion weekly events.
