UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4 is to follow up on its coverage of the 2014 winter Paralympic Games earlier this year by broadcasting a host of major para-sport events this summer.
Channel 4 will broadcast two-and-a-half-hours of live coverage of the Anniversary Games in London on July 20. A schedule of evening events will also be live streamed on the Channel 4 website.
From August 4-10, the broadcaster will also provide highlights of the International Paralympic Committee’s Swimming European Championships in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on Channel 4, digital television channel More4 and the Channel 4 website.
Channel 4 will also broadcast live coverage of the IPC’s Athletics European Championships, which take place in the Welsh city of Swansea from August 18-23, on More4.
In addition, Channel 4 will broadcast highlights from the UK’s National Paralympic Day, which will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on August 30.
