Chicago Fire in local rights deal with Comcast SportsNet

North American Major League Soccer club the Chicago Fire has entered into a regional rights deal with the Chicago branch of US pay-television broadcaster Comcast SportsNet.

The deal will run for three years, from 2015 until 2017.

Under the agreement, Chicago Comcast SportsNet will broadcast live coverage of all Chicago Fire MLS games. Match-day coverage will include a 30-minute pre-game show, live coverage of the game and enhanced coverage of

SportsNet Central, the broadcaster’s nightly sports news desk programme.

The Chicago Comcast SportsNet website and the team’s official site will also feature additional video material. This will include original video features, match highlights, behind-the-scenes videos and various editorial pieces.
