UK media company 1080 Media TV has retained its position as the host broadcaster of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
The extended agreement covers the 2017-18 edition of the race, with 1080 Media TV to produce and distribute coverage of the sailing event. The announcement was made by the Race’s UK-based rights-holder, Clipper Ventures.
1080 Media TV will continue to produce and distribute the Race’s global long-form official television series, The Race of Their Lives, as well as live feeds, news and social media packages.
The company served as the host broadcaster for the last two editions of the event, which takes place every two years.
