Telco Econet, which operates in sub-Saharan Africa, has agreed a deal with the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa).
The exclusive one-year deal will run until the end of October 2017 and includes the option of a two-year extension.
The agreement grants Econet-owned broadcaster Kwesé Sports rights across sub-Saharan Africa to the Cosafa U20 men’s and women’s tournaments.
Kwesé Sports will hold both free-to-air and pay-television rights, while content will also be streamed live on the service’s website and official app. Programming will include live games and highlights, as well as a catch-up offering.
