Danish and Swedish publications to show Serie A, LaLiga action

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has struck a deal to show coverage of this weekend’s matches from the Serie A and LaLiga top football divisions in Italy and Spain, while football-dedicated publication Tipsbladet has also acquired rights in Denmark.

The Swedish newspaper’s website, Sportbladet.se, will show 20 games from the two divisions for free.

The deals were agreed with the MP & Silva agency after the first two rounds of the seasons in Spain and Italy were not available on Swedish and Danish television.

Reports in Sweden suggest talks are taking place over extending the arrangement.

The SportExpressen newspaper said that pay-television broadcaster Viasat, operated by pan-Nordic media company Modern Times Group, had acquired rights for the two divisions, but the company would not confirm the deal.

Danish football magazine Tipsbladet will provide free live streaming via its website of all games from LaLiga and Serie A this weekend. Its coverage will commence with the LaLiga clash between Levante and Sevilla tonight (Friday).
