Digital media company DAZN Group has acquired rights in Germany and Austria to mixed martial arts promotion the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
DAZN has signed a three-year contract that will begin with the UFC 229 event on October 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UFC 229 is headlined by the lightweight clash between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor.
DAZN will replace commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 – which has televised the UFC since 2015 – as the promotion’s new rights partner.
