DAZN pins down UFC partnership in Japan

DAZN, the new OTT sports subscription service operated by digital media specialists the Perform Group, has agreed a multi-year content partnership for the Japanese market with mixed martial arts promotion the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The deal gives fans in Japan access to all live events including UFC 203: Miocic vs. Overeem, which takes place on September 10, and original programming such as UFC Countdown, The Ultimate Fighter, UFC Primetime and UFC Road to the Octagon.

The UFC will be added to DAZN’s content portfolio, which comprises over 8,000 live events a year, including NBA basketball and NFL American football. The service is also available in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
