Digi, a direct-to-home and IPTV platform which operates in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, has said it will launch a fourth sports channel as it seeks to accommodate its growing rights portfolio.
Digi Sport 4 HD will be added to the line-up in time for the new football season, joining Digi Sport 1 HD, Digi Sport 2 HD and Digi Sport 3 HD.
Digi has this month acquired rights to Italy’s Serie A and the English FA Cup and Community Shield across the three seasons spanning 2018-19 to 2020-21. The company said that these deals meant that its current broadcast capacity was insufficient.
Digi added that it will soon announce more programming news regarding football content.
