Eleven launches new streaming service in Singapore

Pay-television broadcaster Eleven Sports Network has launched a new online streaming service in Singapore.

The service, which launches today (Friday), will stream live coverage of major events across various sports including baseball, basketball, football and tennis.

Content will initially be available via a one-day or weekly pass and can be accessed on multiple devices such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones.

Eleven Sports Network will launch the service with live streams of five matches from the third round of the English FA Cup knockout club football competition. Coverage will begin with fourth-tier League Two team Exeter City playing top-tier Premier League club Liverpool at 3.55am Singapore time.

Eleven Sports Network will go on to stream live coverage of at least eight matches from each round of the FA Cup in the 2015-16 season through to the quarter-final stage, in addition to both semi-finals and the final.

The service will also show coverage of Italian football’s top-tier Serie A and tennis tournaments.

Danny Menken, group managing director of Eleven Sports Network, said: “Our internet distribution is increasingly important as we expand our network and these launches not only enable us to reach a broader audience, but give us valued insight into how our subscribers consume our programmes.”
