International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has signed a long-term partnership with Taiwan’s Unilions Pro Baseball Team.
As part of the deal, Eleven Sports will show coverage in Taiwan of all of the team’s fixtures in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL).
Eleven Sports already holds a similar partnership with defending CPBL champions the Lamigo Monkeys.
Tai-An Su, general manager of the Unilions, said: “We understand their strategy to promote the action on-air, online and via social media and we see synergies that will enable us to work together to create a successful team and build a loyal following across the country.”
Eleven Sports has also revealed that its Taiwan service enjoyed 50 per-cent-growth in viewing ratings and 88-per-cent growth in market share in 2018. This includes 44-per-cent growth in viewing figures for the Lamigo Monkeys.
