Eleven Sports picks up US rights to darts events, backs LaLiga Legends game

International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has acquired exclusive rights in the United States to 14 darts competitions taking place between May and November.

Eleven Sports has reached an agreement with promoter Matchroom Sport to broadcast live coverage of events such as the 2017 World Cup of Darts, the World Match Play, the Grand Prix of Darts, the Grand Slam of Darts and various World Series tournaments.

All 14 tournaments will be made available in 50 million households through Eleven’s carriage deals with networks including, but not limited to, AT&T, DirecTV, Verizon, Charter and NCTC.

Meanwhile, Eleven has acquired rights in Poland to a legends football match between former players from the Spanish LaLiga and ex-Poland internationals.

The game will take place in Warsaw on June 9 and will mark the first-ever LaLiga Legends match in Europe. Eleven will organise the event and serve as host broadcaster.
