International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has reached an agreement with social media platform Twitter to stream live coverage of American football games from the Ivy League US collegiate sports conference.
Eleven Sports will stream seven games during October and November via the @ElevenSportsUSA Twitter handle.
The streams will be available for free to logged-in and logged-out users on Twitter and connected devices around the world.
Eleven Sports will also post features such as game-in-progress clips during the live streams.
The partnership began with Saturday’s game between Harvard University and Cornell University and continues with the October 14 fixture between University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University. The initiative concludes with Cornell v Pennsylvania on November 18.
