ESPN extends long-running Southland Conference deal

ESPN and its direct-to-consumer streaming platform ESPN+ have signed a multi-year extension to a rights deal with the Southland Conference US college sports conference.

Under the agreement, ESPN+ will air more than 1,500 events across both men’s and women’s sports until the end of the 2024-25 academic year. The annual Southland Conference men’s basketball championship game will also continue to air on ESPN or ESPN2 as part of the deal.
