Euroleague Basketball signs Turkish media partner

Euroleague Basketball, which organises continental club competitions in Europe, has signed a media partnership with Turkish online sports platform Fanatik.

The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, names Fanatik as the organisation’s official premium media partner in Turkey.

The partnership will provide Turkish basketball fans with video content, information and other features relating to the EuroLeague and EuroCup competitions.

Turkey is a key market for Euroleague Basketball, with defending champion Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul competing in this season’s EuroLeague alongside Anadolu Efes Istanbul. Darussafaka Istanbul, Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul and Tofas Bursa are also competing in this year’s EuroCup.

In recent years, Euroleague Basketball has agreed similar partnerships with L’Equipe (France), Gazzetta.gr (Greece), La Gazzetta dello Sport (Italy), Sports.ru (Russia) and AS (Spain), as well as a global deal with the Eurohoops portal.
