Euroleague game coverage to offer players’ perspective

European club basketball tournament the Euroleague will test out the use of micro-cameras on playing kits tonight (Friday) when Real Madrid takes on Zalgiris Kaunas in a play-off game in Madrid, Spain.

The live footage from the cameras, which will be attached to the jerseys of two Zalgiris players, will be shown as part of broadcast coverage on pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus.

Zalgiris players have already tested out and approved the First Vision Cam technology in training sessions.

Centre Robertas Javtokas and guard Edgaras Ulanovas will wear the cameras for the game tonight.

The Euroleague said that the development will mark the first time ever that a sports league will have cameras attached to players’ kits in a professional game.
