International sports broadcaster Eurosport has acquired rights in France to the Coppa Italia club football knockout tournament.
The 2015-16 season of the Coppa Italia has been hitherto without television coverage in France, but Eurosport has now agreed a deal with the B4 Capital agency, the competition’s international rights-holder.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it is set to run until at least the end of the current campaign. The 2015-16 Coppa Italia has now reached its quarter-final stage with AC Milan set to commence proceedings when it takes on Carpi on January 13.
Eurosport last broadcast the Coppa Italia in France in 2010.
