Electric off-road racing series Extreme E has agreed a one-year media-rights deal in Canada with French-language channel RDS.
Bell Media-owned RDS will broadcast live coverage of all of Extreme E’s 2021 inaugural campaign.
Extreme E is a new racing series, with electric SUVs competing in extreme environments around the world which have already been damaged or affected by climate and environmental issues. It was launched by Formula E founder Alejandro Agag and former racing driver Gil de Ferran.
Fox Sports has acquired English-language rights in Canada as part of its deal with Extreme E which also covers the US and the Caribbean.
Extreme E also has rights deals with Fox Sports Asia (Southeast Asia), the BBC (UK), Mediaset (Italy), Sony India (Indian subcontinent), Fox Australia, Dubai Sports (Middle East and North Africa), TVNZ (New Zealand) and BTRC (Belarus).
