FC Cincinnati becomes second MLS side to sign with OTT service FloSports

FloSports, a new OTT entrant to the soccer media-rights landscape, has secured the broadcast rights for a second MLS side, FC Cincinnati.

The deal with FCC first reported by the Austin American-Statesman follows up FloSports’ first MLS deal, announced earlier this year with DC United

The agreement much like the one with DC United grants rights for regional coverage of all FC Cincinnati games not being aired by any of MLS’s national broadcast partners.

“Major League Soccer, FC Cincinnati and FloSports are committed to growing the sport of soccer and delivering high-quality multi-platform content to fans,” MLS’ senior vice-president of media, Seth Bacon, said in a statement. “FloSports’ passion for showcasing compelling stories will provide FC Cincinnati fans a unique level of access that goes beyond the live game, while also providing a world-class viewing experience.”

In addition to DC United and FC Cincinnati, FloSports also airs more than 200 Big Ten Conference women’s and men’s college soccer games in the United States.
