Fiba enhances World Cup coverage with video replay service

The International Basketball Federation (Fiba) has launched a second screen video replay app to enhance coverage of the closing stages of its 2014 World Cup.

Fiba Replay is available as a free download from the Apple App Store and will let fans replay action from the quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place game and final from multiple camera angles.

Fiba has collaborated with software development company Intellicore and broadcast and media production systems group EVS to develop Fiba Replay. The launch marks the first time that such an app has been made available at an international basketball event. Fiba said it plans to roll out similar innovations at its events from 2015 onwards.

Serbia versus Brazil and France against Spain completes the quarter-final phase of the Fiba World Cup today (Wednesday) and the tournament concludes in Spain on September 14.
