The Fox International Channels broadcast subsidiary of media company 21st Century Fox has appointed Caleb Weinstein, a former executive of electronic commerce company Amazon, as its executive-vice-president of affiliate distribution for Europe and Africa.
Weinstein will oversee the European and African distribution of FIC’s portfolio of channels, including Fox Sports.
Weinstein will lead FIC’s strategy of maximising affiliate revenues and support the introduction of new channels into new territories across the two regions.
He will also head up partnerships with paid platforms and identify new distribution avenues for FIC brands.
Prior to joining FIC, Weinstein served as head of global partnerships for Amazon Instant Video, Amazon’s internet video-on-demand service.
