Fina, the global governing body of aquatic sports, has partnered with sports media and technology company Deltatre to launch a new OTT subscription service that will feature exclusive and comprehensive live and on-demand streaming of Fina’s most prestigious events.

FINAtv has been launched to coincide with the 2017 World Aquatics Championship, which commence tomorrow (Friday) in Budapest, Hungary. It will be available on mobile, tablet and desktop devices, as well as on connected televisions via AirPlay and Chromecast.

The service will be advertising free and video delivered in HD where available. Subscriptions will include a full complement of live and on-demand competitions as well as exclusive interviews, features, analysis and commentary across Fina-sanctioned swimming, diving, high diving, synchronised swimming, open water and water polo events.

At the launch stage an Annual Pass will be available at $39.99 (€35) and a World Championships Pass at $19.99. After the World Championships, a Monthly Pass will retail at $7.99.

Fina president Julio Maglione said: “The service will offer outstanding programming year-round including from our most celebrated events and will be presented in a state-of-the-art platform.

“The launch of the service represents Fina’s latest initiative to broaden the global reach of its immensely popular sport and specifically, the swiftly growing OTT consumer.”
