The Fox Sports division of US network Fox has announced the 2014 US Open Snowboarding Championships will be broadcast live on its Fox Sports 2 pay-television channel on March 7-8.
Fox will show five hours of live coverage of the meeting, featuring the country’s leading male and female competitors in the half pipe and slopestyle events at Vail Mountain, Colorado.
The deal is part of a wider collaboration between Fox and the event’s title sponsor, snowboard manufacturer Burton.
Fox will carry additional coverage of other events from Burton’s Global Event Series on Fox Sports 2 and its regional sports networks throughout the year, including the US Open Snowboarding Qualifiers and the European Open.
