Fox Sports locks down extensions for golf properties in Australia

Australian pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports has secured extensions to exclusive live rights deals covering a number of golf majors and tours.

Fox Sports has signed four-year extensions, from 2015 to 2018, for rights in the country to major tournaments the US Open Championship and USPGA Championship.

Fox Sports has also signed four-year extensions, covering the same time period, for the PGA Tour, European Tour, Asian Tour and the LPGA Tour in Australia on an exclusive basis.

The deal has been announced ahead of Fox Sports’ coverage of the 2015 Masters, which gets underway at Augusta tomorrow (Thursday). The broadcaster holds the exclusive live rights to the tournament until 2017. Australia’s Adam Scott (pictured) won the event in 2013.
