Fox Sports to restrict live streaming of NFC play-offs

US pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports will stream live coverage of the Super Bowl NFL American football championship game on February 2 for free, but will restrict online coverage of the National Football Conference (NFC) post-season to subscribers of selected pay-television operators, according to media news publication Variety.

The report said that subscribers of the Comcast, AT&T U-verse and Cablevision Systems operators would be able to access live streaming of the NFC play-offs, with the winning team progressing to the Super Bowl.

Fox Sports’ online coverage of the Super Bowl will be available via the FoxSportsGo.com website and mobile application.

Last week, US network CBS announced that it would stream live coverage of the NFL’s American Football Conference play-offs through its CBSSports.com website for the first time.
