French Golf Channel acquires rights for LPGA Tour

French pay-television broadcaster the Golf Channel acquired exclusive rights for the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour in a one-year deal for the 2012 season.

The Golf Channel, owned by French media group AB Groupe, will broadcast 29 tournaments from the tour during the year, including live coverage of the final day from each tournament. A 52-minute highlights show will also be broadcast the week following each tournament.
