FuboTV secures additional funding support

Football streaming platform fuboTV has raised an additional $4m (€3.7m) in funding in an effort to support its ongoing expansion plans.

Launched in January, fuboTV is an over-the-top streaming service that offers fans around the world access to live coverage of matches and tournaments.

Subscribers currently have access to a number of top-tier competitions such as the Spanish Liga, France’s Ligue 1 and Italy’s Serie A through carriage deals with various broadcasters.

FuboTV also has partnerships in place with a number of football clubs including English Premier League club Everton and Borussia Dortmund of the German Bundesliga.

Since its official launch in January, fuboTV has raised a total of $5.6m in funding. The latest ‘Series A’ funding round was led by DCM Ventures and featured I2BF Digital, LionTree Partners and Luminari Capital.
