Gfinity follows BBC deal with BT Sport agreement

UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has agreed a rights deal with esports company Gfinity for its Elite Series gaming competition.

BT Sport will begin broadcasting coverage of the event from today (Tuesday).

The UK-based Gfinity Elite Series began on July 9 and will run for a total of nine weeks. The competition features eight franchises competing across gaming titles such as ‘Rocket League’, ‘CS:GO’ and ‘Street Fighter V’.

Gfinity already has rights deals for the Elite Series in place with UK public-service broadcaster the BBC and international sports broadcaster Eleven Sports Network.
