Globo secures 2016 Paralympics coverage

Brazilian media company Globo has acquired rights for the 2016 Paralympic Games.

Globo-owned SporTV will show coverage of all 12 days of action from the Games, which will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Under the deal, SporTV will show live coverage, highlights and documentaries.

Online platforms Globoesporte.com and Sportv.com will also show the Games, with the latter offering 134 hours of live coverage.

Globo broadcast the 2014 winter Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia, following a deal with the International Paralympic Committee and the Brazilian Paralympic Committee.
