Grand Slam triumph delivers bumper viewing figures for France Télévisions

Public-service broadcaster France Télévisions attracted an average of just under nine million viewers on Saturday evening as France defeated England 25-13 in Paris to complete the Grand Slam and lift the Six Nations trophy.

The average audience of 8.95 million viewers was equal to a market share of 38.9 per cent, according to Médiamétrie, and is the highest French audience for the tournament in the last 10 years. The audience, on the broadcaster's France 2 channel, peaked at just under 10.5 million.
