Specialist international equestrian sports and lifestyle television channel Horse and Country TV is to launch a TV Everywhere service that will allow viewers in the UK and Ireland to subscribe to and view the channel online, as well as on tablet or smartphone devices.
The Horse and Country TV Everywhere service will launch on December 16. It will run in parallel to the channel’s current offering on UK pay-television operator BSkyB.
Subscribers can watch the live channel online on a desktop through the Horse and Country TV website. Viewers can also download a free app to view the channel on a mobile device.
Subscribers can also access on-demand programmes, daily video clips, social media content, news and an on-air schedule through the new service.
“This initiative allows us to bring our channel to the many millions of television households in the UK and Ireland that can’t currently view it, as well as to our existing Sky viewers who want the utility of being able to watch the channel on the go,” Horse and Country TV’s managing director Richard Burdett said.
