IEC in Sports to market Swiss domestic football

The Lagardère-owned IEC in Sports agency has agreed a deal with the Swiss Football League to distribute the worldwide media rights to Switzerland’s top-tier domestic football league, the Swiss Super League, and the second-tier Challenge League, in a long-term deal from 2012-13 onwards.

IEC in Sports will market the international rights to a total of 180 matches a season, across multiple media platforms.

The deal is an extension of an existing relationship between the two parties, in which IEC in Sports has acted as the host broadcaster for the league’s domestic pay-television partner, Teleclub, since 2009.

IEC in Sports has been tasked with exploiting the league’s rights across all technologies, expanding beyond the league’s traditional television exposure.
