The IMG Evenst & Media agency has extended a deal with the English Premier League for in-flight and in-ship media rights to the top-tier club football competition.
The new deal will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
The agreement will include live and recorded coverage of matches on Sport 24, the live sports channel produced and distributed by IMG exclusively for the in-flight and in-ship markets.
Richard Wise, senior vice-president of IMG Media, said: “The Premier League is the most-watched football league in the world and is very popular with air travellers across the globe. Sport 24 is committed to showing the best action live and this is a key element to an outstanding portfolio of live sport.”
Sport 24 is currently available on more than 250 aircraft on airlines around the world, such as Emirates, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.
