The Infront Sports & Media agency has extended its worldwide rights distribution deal with the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball, volleyball’s European governing body, for nine years, from 2013 until 2021.
Under the deal, Infront will continue to distribute rights for the governing body’s biannual men’s and women’s European Championships.
From 2014, as part of the expanded agreement, Infront will also sell rights for the body’s Beach Volleyball European Championships and the 2016 and 2020 Beach Volleyball Continental Cup finals.
Infront will sell live, highlights, delayed and news coverage rights across all platforms.
The agency will also “be directly in charge or will supervise the host broadcast production” of all of the events covered by the deal.
“By taking into consideration the good results stemming from the past few years, we have decided to join our forces once more in order to provide the volleyball and beach volleyball community with a first-class service when it comes to TV production and the distribution of all relevant media rights,” the governing body’s president, André Meyer, said.
