Infront extends ski mountaineering production deal

The Infront Sports & Media agency has extended its media production deal with the International Ski Mountaineering Federation for the 2015-16 season.

The deal will cover the 2015-16 Individual, Sprint and Vertical World Cup and the European Championships.

Infront will produce five 15-minute magazine highlights programmes for ISMF events. Each programme will feature race coverage as well as additional content such as behind-the-scenes footage and athlete profiles.

Programmes will be distributed to broadcasters around the world, with a focus on countries where World Cup events are being staged.

Infront will also acquire the majority of advertising rights within camera view to the ISMF events. Infront will oversee the implementation of partner advertising materials and manage the event press office, including uploading race footage video clips to the ISMF website.

Infront also has the option to exclusively handle all multimedia, broadcast and commercial rights to the ISMF World Cup, World Championship and Continental Championships for a period of five years, from 2016-17 to 2020-21.

The deal comes after Infront served as the media production and distribution for the ISMF during the 2014-15 season.

Bruno Marty, executive director of winter sports at Infront, said: “This year, the extended programming allows even broader exposure for the sport, which we believe has great potential. The magazine highlights were already well received by the broadcasters last year and we are firmly on the path towards achieving greater adoption of this captivating winter discipline.”
